Best Charcoal Grill Under 300 Dollars

Best Charcoal Grill Under 300 Dollars

With so many different charcoal grills available I could find one that would fit virtually any budget imaginable, from $100 all the way up to $1000 in price.

So I did just that and really aimed to find the best charcoal grill under $300, because these grills are a little bit larger in size and have a decent amount of features that come with them but not all of the bells and whistles that she would expect to have with say a $1000 grill, so I thought the article was worth writing for anybody who’s looking for a grill around this price range. Want to see a larger selection of grills?

The First Weber Model I Found…

The first grill under $300 that made the list is the Weber 1401001 Performer Silver Charcoal Grill, which combines the functionality of a Weber grill with the convenience of a cart and a few other cool options to go along with it.

This charcoal grill has taken what most people consider to be the classic design and taken a more convenient design that allows you to wheel it around and has an optional side table with a wire rack underneath for storage.

The diameter of this Weber grill measures approximately 22 1/2 inches and is coded with the same porcelain enamel bowl is often found with these types of grills. That gives you a total of about 363 in.² of cooking space, more than plenty for you and a couple of your friends or family members.

After it is fully assembled, this Weber barbecue measures roughly 42″ x 39″ x 28.5″ so it is quite compact for its overall size but still big enough to accommodate larger gatherings of folks. This Weber model also integrates the one touch cleaning system that is basically a simplified method of removing the ashtray for disposal.

A Larger Charcoal Model By Dyna Glo:

Next on the list is the Dyna-Glo DGN576DNC-D Premium Charcoal Grill, which happens a be a much larger unit than the Weber and provides more storage and working area as well.

This premium charcoal grill features and adjustable tray system giving you the power to control the heat and have maximum cooking flexibility.

It comes complete with a stainless steel smoke stack and 816 inches of cooking space, almost 500 more square inches than the Weber model offered. In fact, you can grill as many as 30 hamburgers at once using this grill.

It also comes on rollaway cart with a wire shelf at the bottom and two side tables that allow you to store and prep any items ahead of time. It also uses a door that is mounted on the front of the BBQ that allows you to tend the briquettes without having to lift the lid where the food is cooking, keeping in most of the heat in maintaining a more consistent temperature.

A BBQ With A Golden Touch:

Making our way down the list, we come to another Weber grill called the Weber 1352001 One-Touch Gold Kettle Grill. I love the color of this grill and think the price is fantastic for what you get, even though it lacks storage space.

This single-touch copper kettle grill is 22.5 inches in diameter which equals roughly 363 in.² of cooking area. It really is the BBQ grill for someone who wants a traditional Weber grill that has all the functionality but is a little more pleasing to the high as opposed to a traditional black finish.

On a side note, there is a newer model of this Weber barbecue available that is far cheaper than the one listed here and has a few reviews you can use for reference purposes, so I suggest you take a look at that if you are, in fact interested in this model.

 Napoleon Makes A Strong Grill:

The last charcoal grill I wanted to talk about is the Napoleon PRO22K-LEG Infrared Charcoal Kettle Grill. It has a couple of unique features that are not found in the other models listed.

This traditional cart style black Napoleon barbecue features a heavy duty porcelain enamel hinged lid and 365 square inches of cooking space, which are common metrics and comparible to the other bbqs listed here.

This Napoleon grill comes complete with a removable catcher for ash and two air control mechanisms located at the top and bottom of the unit. A couple of the unique features are the location of the handle for the lid (side mounted to avoid hot hands) and how the charcoal is concentrated in a smaller container the bottom of the grill allowing for better heat dispersion.

Since it has a sidemounted handle, you were able to lift the lid slightly without losing a lot of the heat and burning yourself in the process. Keep in mind that this barbecue is quite heavy, weighing about 62 pounds.
